Opening of the Exhibition Space “Ciclo da Truta de Góis – Parque da Monteira”

The Municipality of Góis joins the Cultural Heritage Challenge promoted by Património Cultural, I.P., by taking part in the European Heritage Days 2024 through the organisation of a guided tour of the Exhibition Space “Ciclo da Truta de Góis – Parque da Monteira”, co-financed by Turismo de Portugal, IP, under the Programa Valorizar – Measure for the Tourism Enhancement of the Interior, and inaugurated on 10 August.

The exhibition space features the following themes:

– The Water Cycle
– The Ceira Valley
– Mankind and the River
– The Trout’s Life Cycle

This initiative aims to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving, safeguarding, and enhancing the Cultural and Natural Heritage of the municipality, in line with the 2024 theme – “Routes, Networks and Connections” – providing an opportunity to reflect on our shared heritage.

Opening hours – for 21 and 22 September:
Saturday and Sunday
14:30 – 17:30

Duration of each visit: 25 minutes
(Free entry | Due to the limited exhibition area, only up to 10 visitors may be admitted per tour.)

Note: The Municipality informs that, beyond the European Heritage Days, the exhibition space will also be open on the third weekend of each month, following the weekly market in the Parish of Vila Nova do Ceira.
