As part of the municipal celebration of the European Heritage Days, last weekend – 21 and 22 September, from 14:30 to 17:30 – the exhibition space “Ciclo da Truta de Góis – Parque da Monteira,” co-financed by Turismo de Portugal, opened its doors to the public, welcoming 58 visitors, including 15 children.
In addition to reading the interpretative panels and watching videos and animations on the themes “The Water Cycle,” “The Ceira Valley,” “The River and Mankind,” and “The Trout’s Life Cycle,” visitors were able to explore the interactive table, try out the virtual game, and experience the immersive virtual reality headset.
The little ones also had time to colour a brown trout.
Outside, in the Parque da Monteira, it was also possible to take part in fishing competitions… The rules were simple: without leaving their spot and using only the fishing rod, each player tried to catch as many trout as possible. The winner was the one with the highest score at the end of the game. Congratulations to the winners!
The Municipality of Góis thanks all visitors who allowed photographs to be taken during their visit. See some of the experiences of families at the “Ciclo da Truta de Góis – Parque da Monteira.”
